The Imperial Science Society is an interactive club dedicated to science, fun, and education. The ISS will help you build leadership skills at the same time you enjoy a stimulating field trip in the gorgeous Ozark Mountains. Our lively club meetings will help you achieve numerous victories while you enjoy an intriguing current event about an unusual phenomenon or creature. Meetings
From the 2025-2026 Imperial Academy Yearbook:
Each meeting kicks off with the club president's "nugget" (opening comments) and a joke from one of the club members. Then, the president hands it over to the secreatry, who details teh minutes and asks the club to guess at the defnition of an obscure science term. Next comes the current event, in which student volunteers discuss recent happening in the scientific world and community or about a certain topic. After that it's all business: the club plans their monthly newsletter, merch, video production and their upcoming field trips. Them a guest lescturer or instruction presents the spotlight, highlighting phenomena or demonstrating experiments. Mr. Coats then concludes the meeting, and the remaining minutes are devoted to socializing between the local and online worlds. Besides weekly club meetings, the ISS houses its own committee made up of club members to plan activities and field trips, as well as come up with fundraising events and merchandise.

Current Events
Stay updated with the latest happenings in the world of science, or learn about something new and exciting, such as the top five most interesting animals or a featured phenomenon.
Spotlights
Learn about interesting experiments that pique everyone's interests or an unusual natural occurrence, such as sudden hurricane formation or an interesting experiment on fire and combustion.
Newsletter
The ISS's own newsletter has multiple articles covering interesting scientific facts and their occurences; "what-if" articles; and general announcements for the club.
Field Trips
Enjoy trips to interesting scientific hotspots and gain knowledge on science with a hands-on unique experience in such places such as canyons or museums in other states.
